Overview

Look forward to a weekend of lazy exploration and seriously good wine in the picture-perfect little town of Greyton. This is not your regular wine tasting experience, during the Greyton Wine Weekend you get to meet the knowledgable makers behind 30+ of South Africa’s best wines on the stoep of private residences, restaurants, and other businesses and destinations throughout town. This includes the quirky likes of AA Badenhorst Family Wines, Luditte, Kat se Snor and so much more.

You don’t even need to feel guilty about having a blast, as not only are you supporting the local wine industry (as if we need a reason!) but also the whole event has been put together as a fundraising initiative to boost the school fund for Greyton House.

Kids between 3 – 14 can look forward to a taste of country life with a jam-packed program that includes everything from baking and hiking to ceramics. This way parents can enjoy themselves without worrying about a thing. Let’s drink to that!

This year’s event features a few well-known farms like Steenberg Farm, MullineuxGabrielskloof, and Graham Beck, as well as super-niche producers like Fram and Weather Report Wine. The really great thing about the format of the festival is that each producer has been paired with a local business with whom they have a lekker vibe.

Just to make things even more amazing, there are a variety of side events and workshops in the mix. Keep scrolling to discover all about it. No need for FOMO, just grab your spot quickly and you won’t miss a thing.

Sound good? Book now! Tickets for the super popular Greyton Wine Weekend are limited and since the foodie grapevine got hold of this one tickets will sell out quick-sticks. Great news though, you can book your tasting tickets and the fringe events all conveniently in one spot, even your glamping stay!

Oh yeah, you’ve heard us right, this year you don’t have to beg, borrow and steal (or drive anywhere, for that matter) to find a place to rest your weary head. The Greyton Wine Weekend has a brand new feature, an uber-cool Glamping Village brought to you by the rad folk of Wolfkop Weekender.

Bookings for the epic Greyton Wine Weekend 2022 are opening on the 15th of July.
